Whether in sport or everyday life, certain preventative strategies and programmes can be implemented to reduce the likelihood of an injury occurring. We have an abundance of both practical and theoretical preventative mechanisms that will assist our patients in not only preventing injury, but also maintaining fitness following an injury that may have previously occurred. We can:
- Design individual 'prehabilitation' (prevention) programmes based on functional movement testing.
- Identify any areas of weakness, and help to improve performance and reduce the risk of any potential injuries developing.
- Give advice on aspects such as strength and conditioning, and the appropriate use of different training types.
